Registrations to be involved in Fringe Festival 2012 will open on the 9th March 2012 and close on 30th April 2012.

The Waikato Secondary Schools’ Theatre Sports final. Featuring teams from Hillcrest High School, Fairfield College, St John’s College, Peachgrove Intermediate, Hamilton Boys’ High School and Cambridge High School.

Greetings all and welcome to our biggest Fringe Festival ever. Art Danger BOOM!

We are thrilled to present a riotous smorgasbord of art events brought to you by over 300 local artists, performers and directors. Proudly providing unique opportunity for the exhibition of creative work, the Fringe is a stage upon which anything may happen. New and emerging talent steps up into the limelight alongside established artists in this annual celebration of the regions enviable creative abundance.

We’d like to encourage you to sample the 2011 batch of home-grown spectacles and performances, shows and exhibitions and to experience the potentially transformative qualities of surprising and stimulating works of art. The Hamilton Fringe Festival focuses on encouraging original and explorative expression and we’re confident you’ll find something in our programme to tickle your fancy.

So unbatten your hatches and take advantage of daylight- savings. The days are getting longer and the Fringe just keeps on getting better!

Minor Irritations

James Wilson

Bleak pinpricks replacing the spearheads of before, ‘Minor Irritations’ nonetheless sustains the unease we know & love (?) from James Wilsons’ earlier work. Cartoon hopelessness and jade spirals of unchecked power remind us who’s talking, though now with determined timidity. The bloody contrasts of the painting jars violently with the stereotyped goth tones of the photography, heavy with mono-chromed portent.

To The End is a photography collection that depicts the story of two lovers separated in death, and their journey through the afterlife to find each other. It is a surreal and abstract collection, using photo manipulation techniques that will thrust the viewer into this dark fantasy tale of love and loss.
